  • March 23, 2026 – Forty members of the Friends of IES sent a letter to House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee leaders supporting a request of $900 million in FY 2027.
     
  • November 24, 2025 - Forty members of the Friends of IES sent a letter to House and Senate Appropriations Committee leaders urging to include the highest possible amount for the IES top line in the final bill and include funding amounts for individual IES authorities and programs in the bill text.
     
  • April 7, 2025 – On behalf of 72 endorsing organizations, the Friends of IES sent a letter to House and Senate Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education Appropriations Subcommittee leaders supporting a request of at least $900 million in FY 2026.
